Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has stated that talks in relation to beef prices will continue on Monday.

He stated that stakeholders must “engage in a spirit of compromise” in order to secure a future for the sector.

Pickets outside meat plants continue however, farmers have been recommended to hold back on protests to allow discussions.

The protests by farmers are a results of the unviable prices meat factories charge for cattle. Legal action will be deferred so talks can take place according to MII.
