Britain will immediately end freedom of movement for people from the European Union after Brexit, a spokeswoman for Downing Street has said.

The spokeswoman said: “Freedom of movement as it currently stands will end on 31st October when the UK leaves the EU.”

She added the UK government planned “tougher criminality rules for people entering the UK”.

Britain is set to leave the EU with or without a deal in 2 months on the 31st October.
