Politicians in the US have announced an agreement in principle which will hopefully avoid another government shutdown, they have agreed to nearly $1.4bn for the construction of the border wall with Mexico.
It came as US President Donald Trump pushed his politically explosive crusade at a rally in the frontier city of El Paso.
The agreed amount is far less than the $5.7bn Mr Trump has demanded. But if accepted, the deal would avoid another critical standoff in which Mr Trump has threatened to cut budgets from large government departments.
