EU leaders have agreed to the proposed Brexit deal

The British parliament has been warned by leaders of the European Union not to ruin Theresa May’s Brexit deal, saying that it is the best Britain will get as leaders come to an agreement at a summit in Brussels.

European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, told reporters that “Those who think that, by rejecting the deal, they would get a better deal, will be disappointed,” the statement came after the 27 EU leaders endorsed the proposed deal, setting terms for Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union in March and also outlining a future EU-UK trade pact.

Theresa May used a news conference after the summit to make a pitch for her plan, telling television viewers that it was the “only possible deal”, offering control of UK borders and budgets while maintaining close cooperation with EU regulations that was good for business and the security of the broader region.
