Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen offered an unflattering analysis of Ireland following Monday night’s clash, claiming Ireland were “too scared” to attack during the game.
Ericksen said, “It was a lot of defending on their side and we were trying to attack against 11 players in their own half,”
“They played like this in every game we’ve played. In the second game in Ireland they wanted to go forward but they knew what happened when they went forward so that’s why they were too scared to go forward. That’s something we’ve learned, that teams are scared to come here.”
