Referencing Mr. Varadkar’s statements on not contemplating a hard border in a no-deal scenario she stated that it was “only ever a negotiating tactic by the European Union”. Foster went on to describe how the new deal is not a good one and that no one should be forced to accept it. “This really bad deal would lock us into the EU with no way out. We would be trapped” added Foster when describing the new agreement. UK and Irish ministers will be travelling to brussels to renegotiate this new draft.
