Irishman found dead in Copenhagen ahead of Ireland’s clash with Denmark

Danish police have reported that the body of a man was found in Havenegade in Copenhagen Harbour at roughly 10:30 on Sunday morning. The man was described as “lifeless” when he was discovered in the water.

The name of the man has not been made public by the Danish police.

The FAI has released a statement confirming that the Irish team will wear black armbands tonight in honour of the fan, and that a minute’s silence has been requested.
