Leicester City owner was on board crashed helicopter

The BBC reported on Sunday morning that a source close to the family informed them that Leicester City Football Club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was on board when his helicopter crashed in the club’s car park after a Premier League match on Saturday.

Officials from the club and Vichai’s company, duty-free giant King Power International, declined to comment on whether he was in the helicopter when it spiralled out of control and crashed around an hour after the game.

Mr. Srivaddhanaprabha is a massive favourite with the fans after he bought the club in 2010 and they went on to stun the soccer community worldwide by winning the league in 2016.

The Reuters News Agency reported that there was five people on board the helicopter when it crashed but as of yet the official number of passengers has not been verified.
