Recreational marijuana is now legal in Canada as the first dispensaries open their doors on Wednesday. There are, however, a few rules that need to be adjusted to.
Adults over the age of 18 will be allowed to carry and share up to 30 grams of cannabis in public, they are also permitted to cultivate up to 4 plants in their homes for edibles and personal use.
Marijuana will not be sold in the same place as alcohol or tobacco and supplies may be limited, at the beginning at least.
You cannot travel across international borders with marijuana on you and to do so is a criminal offense.
